Legacy – November 2017 Update

We are pleased to announce settlement has been called and all purchasers are to be advised of the move in procedures & the key collection process.

Upon moving into their new premises all owners are to contact Troy Goodwin (0425 705 987) to arrange a time for their move. All owners/residents will only be permitted to move into their apartment if a booking is made between the hours of 8am-12pm or 1pm-4pm Monday to Friday.

All purchasers will also be obligated to sign and return the Owner Indemnity Form attached to the guidelines (document at the end of this update).

Purchasers must also follow the below checklist listed below mentioned on page 2 of the Move In Out Procedure Sheet.

B)Sign Owner/Occupier Indemnity Form & Return to Aaron Grigo from Alliance Body Corp
C)Advise Removalist of procedures for moving in (Removalist Indemnity Form)
D)Consider the size of Furniture with regards to the lift.
E)Get removalist to complete and sign Indemnity Form and return
G)Provide a copy of Removalist Public Liability Insurance
I)Make arrangements for removal of boxes and packing materials.

Key collection will take from the Castran Gilbert office in South Yarra. We suggest coming in 30 minutes’ post receiving settlement notification, to ensure we have received it also. It is not required to book in to collect keys.

Legacy – August 2017 Update (Inspections)


Valuation Inspections are to Commence on the 28th of August 2017 onwards. Please have your bank or broker contact Nimrod on 0417 380 070 to book your valuation inspection.


Purchaser Inspections will be completed over 3 days in 30 minutes blocks.

The scheduled times available are as follows.

Monday 28/8/2017 – 9:00am to 12.30am
Tuesday 29/8/2017 – 8.30am to 12.00pm
Wednesday 30/8/2017 –  8:30am to 12.30pm

As this is the only inspection we recommend all purchasers conduct any measurements they need at this time. If you have also arranged for a building inspector to inspect your apartment, we suggest they attend at this time as well.

Legacy – June 2017 Update

We are happy to advise that construction at Legacy is progressing along nicely and should be completed in July. Settlement will then usually occur 4-6 weeks after building completion so at this stage we are anticipating an August settlement for the project. Further updates, including inspection details, will be provided to all purchasers when we receive more information.

We are happy to advise that scaffolds have started to come down with the majority of façade works completed. Internal fit-out of apartments is progressing well and general works are ahead of schedule. We will provide details on inspections when these are ready to be organised.

Legacy – February 2017 Update

Great news! We have been advised that the builders have completed the base structure (all concrete and steel) for Legacy and are starting to build interior walls and install services to the apartments.

Below is a photo taken a few weeks ago right before the Level 6 slab was poured, showing the amazing view of the city that can be seen from the top floor of the building.

Legacy – December 2016 Update

56 Nicholson St Footscray is moving along well.

Last week the level 3 slab was poured, with preparations being made for columns and formwork to level 4.

The aim is to reach level 5 before Christmas, subject to Melbourne’s volatile weather.

In the next few weeks, the builders will install the precast panels from level 4 to the top levels.

These are huge, double-level panels that give a better finish and quicken the build time.

Legacy – October 2016 Update

The Builders have completely finished in ground services & the team spent a good part of the last two weeks forming up and placing reinforcement for the lift pit & ground slab:


Late last week the Builders began pouring concrete with a slight break in wet weather on Wednesday/Thursday.


Over the next 4 weeks the team will begin to build upward, with precast concrete panels and lower levels to be constructed.
